Katalin Ladik, who has roots in Vojvodina, is one of the most exciting figures in Hungarian contemporary literature. Her long career, filled with surprises, bright ideas and unexpected turns, draws on avant-garde traditions, while incorporating reinterpreted elements of more traditional forms of expression into an original poetic language that places them in a new context.
Part of the Literarium series, but strikingly different from its usual format, this evening promises a true intellectual adventure and an unforgettable experience in the form of a multifaceted performance by a truly versatile artist. The event focuses on the defining central aspect of Ladik’s provocative and often scandalous career: her groundbreaking work in performance art.
