First, a 21st-century Hungarian composition will be presented, which, with its wide-ranging, cantata-like short movements, imbues St. Francis of Assisi's Canticle of the Sun with timelessness and eternity. The second half of the concert begins with a rediscovered musical rarity. Then, in the last piece, the final farewell in Fauré's famous Requiem will be transformed into an uplifting feeling of yearning for "above".
