Current events

If the film censorship in effect for four decades had not been abolished in 1968, those in charge would have had their hands full with this one. As it was, and in addition to its considerable financial success, Easy Rider ushered in a new age of American cinema. It was the precursor to New Hollywood, a turning point that fundamentally changed American film. Its music is curated – it features meticulously selected songs from the popular artists and bands of the day. And the music does not simply follow the plot, it puts places and subcultures firmly on the road movie map. The camerawork of László Kovács also deserves the highest praise.

In the original language, with Hungarian subtitles.

The discussions before and after the screening will be conducted in Hungarian.
