The band is also characterised by a grotesque-ironic tone and audience-friendly humour. Active since 2008, the jazz quartet was founded by pianist János Weisz and saxophonist Attila Borkó, joined by Márton Eged (bass) and Sly Juhász (drums). All four musicians play in other bands with distinguished artists such as István Elek, Márton Fenyvesi, the Transform Quintet and Bálint Gyémánt. They perform regularly in the biggest Hungarian clubs and have also participated in the Budapest Music Expo.

This summer at the Capital Circus of Budapest, we invite you on an exhilarating journey through time! Close your eyes, take a leap, and travel back 100 years to the fantastic 1920s — an unforgettable decade bursting with energy and style. Who wouldn’t want to step out of a sleek sports car, don a chic floppy hat, and dance to the irresistible rhythms of swing, jazz, or the Charleston?

Franco Zeffirelli’s staging of La Bohème has been a New York favourite since 1981, and this enchantingly lyrical, vibrantly youthful and extremely touching production is now making its fourth appearance on the programme of the MET’s global broadcasts.
