No question about it, these films are really not meant for children. (Even though they are extremely funny!) And 1981’s American Pop is, likewise, immeasurably far removed from the world of Disney. It can also be construed as a history of 20th-century American popular music, and a shocking family saga at the same time. One can even enjoy it as a historical film, since it unwraps the story of the United States from the various layers of its music. And we haven’t even mentioned the technology used to make the film yet. Which we won't do at the moment as we can discuss the beauties of rotoscoping after the screening.

Host András Réz

In the original language, with Hungarian subtitles.

The discussions before and after the screening will be conducted in Hungarian.

Presented by: Müpa Budapest
